David Reach, MAI, is a principal of The Valuation Group, Inc., with more than 20 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience. Dave has a diverse background appraising various commercial real estate investment properties, industrial facilities, and land developments in the Minneapolis and St. Paul and upper Midwest region.
Prior to founding The Valuation Group in 1999, Dave was owner and principal of Bakken, Liedl, Janssen, Day & Reach, Inc. Dave was also Manager of the Minneapolis Real Estate Advisory Group of American Appraisal Associates, where he specialized in national commercial properties, appraising complex commercial real estate properties in 43 states and oversaw commercial property valuation assignments in a dozen countries.
Academically, Dave Reach has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Wisconsin (1983). He has a double major in "Finance" and "Real Estate and Urban Land Economics", studying under the renowned Dr. James Graaskamp in Madison, WI. Dave received his MAI in 1996. He maintains his continuing education for his Certified General Real Property Appraiser licenses in Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as through the Appraisal Institute.

Affiliations - Dave Reach is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI). He is also a member of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Real Estate Alumni Association. Dave holds his Certified General Real Property Appraiser state certification in the states of Minnesota (No. 4000648) and Wisconsin (No. 635). His outside interests include active leadership in his Lions Club and he is currently a district cabinet member.
