Cletus Liedl, MAI, is a principal of The Valuation Group, Inc. He specializes in investment properties, special assessments, distressed-property valuation, industrial plants, apartments, easements, condemnation appraisals and other special purpose properties. He has been appraising commercial real estate since 1977 when he began his commercial real estate appraisal career with Iowa Appraisal and Research.
Prior to founding The Valuation Group in 1999, Clete was owner of Bakken, Liedl, Janssen, Day & Reach, Inc., Bakken & Liedl, Inc., and Johnson, Liedl & Bakken Company. He also worked for American Appraisal, where he specialized in national commercial properties, appraising complex commercial properties on a national basis.
Clete Liedl has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin (1977). He maintains his continuing education for his Certified General Real Property Appraiser license and also through his membership with The Appraisal Institute.

Affiliations - Clete Liedl is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI). He is a University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association member, and an affiliate member of the Greater Minneapolis Area Board of Realtors. Clete holds his Certified General Real Property Appraiser state certification in the State of Minnesota (No. 4001459) and Wisconsin (No. 418). He is a frequent testifier in numerous court hearings, and has served as a county commissioner for property condemnation hearings in Hennepin County on several occasions.
